Hi. I’m Brent Probinsky with the law firm of Probinsky & Cole. We’ve been practicing for more than 30 years in Florida. I grew up here in Florida and we’re here to help you with a variety of cases.
One area of law that we practice is representing persons who are victims of sexual harassment. They can be men. They can be women who are victims. What is sexual harassment? It’s defined by federal law since the 1960’s Civil Rights Act and it’s also defined by Florida law, also dating back to the 1960’s.
It gives you a statutory right, a legal right to make a claim against your employer for maintaining a workplace that does not respect your right to work there in freedom and safety without being sexually harassed.
Sexual harassment can be verbal. It can be physical. It’s an ongoing oppressive atmosphere that your employer allows and permits. It’s a place where there’s not adequate training to educate co-workers, supervisors and employers what is sexual harassment and how to avoid it.
We’ve had many cases with large employers. It could be companies. It could be offices. It could be farms where men and women are victims of sexual harassment.
We’ve successfully represented many clients in that area. It’s something that as we all know the #MeToo Movement has now exposed, that many women suffer for years and years in the workplace from sexual harassment; men as well.
Call us, we’re happy to help you explain your case. Look forward to seeing you. Thank you.
