It’s very important for injured workers to know that they have rights. They have the right to change a physician. They have the right to be paid timely and properly pursuant to the workers’ compensation system. They have a right not to be discriminated against by their employer if they go and seek workers’ compensation benefits.
A lot of people come to us with the issue that the employer carrier has denied their case based on preexisting conditions. We can do an appropriate assessment as to if it is a preexisting condition and can we meet the standard that the workers’ compensation court requires.
A lot of people come to us with a problem of having a reduction in their pay after they are injured on the job. There are formulas in which the employer carriers have to present and abide by in payments of lost wages during the process of a workers’ compensation case.
We can help calculate those benefits, make sure that you’re being correctly paid and if in fact you are not being correctly paid, we can assess and have the carriers pay that along with penalties and interest.
