This can happen in a couple of ways. You can be a passenger in the Uber, in the Lyft or you can be in your car, somebody else’s car and that Uber or Lyft driver can hit you.

Now if the accident was the fault of the Uber or the Lyft driver, that tends to be a good thing because Uber and Lyft both carry fairly good liability policies when the driver’s personal policy exhausts. We still have to prove these damages so it’s going to depend on the severity of your injuries, the medical records, permanent injuries, bills, lost wages, things like that. But it’s a good situation because the insurance is there.
