Zachary C. Cole, Esq.
Attorney Zachary Cole joined the firm in 2017. He brought with him a passion for comforting and helping people through traumatic situations. One reason for this is Zachary was involved in a terrible accident many years ago in which he severely damaged his spine. Experiencing the suffering and disability that injury caused has not only allowed him to form a deeper connection and understanding of his clients’ lives, it has allowed him to become a powerful advocate in communicating the life-changing effects of serious injuries to juries, judges, and insurance companies. Going through a spinal fusion surgery and recovery has also given him a much deeper physical, technical, and even emotional knowledge, of similar injuries which he is able to communicate to his clients and individuals evaluating his clients’ claims. There are very few things more important than our personal health and wellbeing.
Another passion in Zachary’s life since childhood has been the ocean. His father was a marine biologist, and Zachary grew up learning about sharks and whales and developed a love for the ocean and the beautiful animals it contains.
One of the ways Zachary is able to spend time with this passion is through outrigger canoeing. He travels all over the country to paddle and compete in races, both individually, and with a crew. His favorite race, Maui 2 Molokai, is in Hawaii and spans 26 miles from the island of Maui to the beautiful and largely undeveloped island of Molokai. During these races it is common to see humpback whales, flying fish, sea turtles, and occasionally sharks. Because of the dedication, risks, and reliance on others involved, Zachary has come to see his paddling crew as his family, which is the same way he feels about the members of our team at Probinsky & Cole.
Prior to joining Probinsky & Cole, Zachary graduated with honors from Washington University School of Law, one of the top rated law schools in the country. While there, he served on the board of a public service fraternity and interned with the United States Attorney’s Office. After school, Zachary started his legal career as a prosecuting attorney, and has also worked in civil defense representing physicians in medical malpractice claims. Unlike some larger firms, Zachary feels that communication with his clients is invaluable in both achieving the best result for them and making sure they feel taken care of throughout the legal process. He brings a lot of energy to his work and has taken over 40 cases to trial.
